The video follows one man across the end of a relationship: shifting through memories, then hitting the flat reality that the love of his life has gone and isn't returning. Heartache, regret, and the slow business of letting go — told through the visuals rather than explained.
This was 2023, and the first time I'd ever touched a professional camera — a Canon 5D Mark IV. Everything about it was new: real camera settings, real on-set problems, and a schedule that didn't care that I was learning.
It ran to professional standards throughout, from hiring actors and doing the paperwork to hitting fixed deadlines. It was also the first time I got to push SFX, colour grading and lighting properly, and find out how much of the final look gets decided long after the shoot.
